Privacy Policy of Golden Cradle Adoption Agency

This Privacy Policy Notice is being provided to you as directed by the Federal Trade Commission pursuant to the requirements of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999 and amendments. This notification is being provided to you under the privacy disclosure regulation.  The purpose of this rule is to ensure clients are aware of the agency’s use of nonpublic information for certain types of business relationships.

Who we are

Our website address is: You can find more information about us on our About page.

Golden Cradle Adoption Services, Inc. is committed to protecting your privacy, and that includes protecting the privacy of any data you share with us. This policy sets out what data we collect, what we do with your data, when and how we store your data, and what you can do if you have questions or wish to exercise rights you have with respect to your data.

Information Collected by Golden Cradle

Our agency collects non-public personal information from you for purposes of our services provided to you.  Our client engagements routinely require us to obtain private information about our clients so that we can proceed with the various services we perform for our clients as part of the business relationship.  Depending upon the particular service a particular client has engaged the agency to complete, we may request nonpublic personal information, from you, or sources other than the client, concerning the matter at hand on your behalf with your prior consent.

Information Disclosed to Third Parties

It is the policy of the agency to never disclose nonpublic information, or any other information, about our clients or former clients, except as necessary or specifically required to provide contracted services.  Nonpublic personal information is defined in the regulations as: any publicly available information that we may acquire by using information that you have provided us in connection with any professional services we perform for you, which is not public information.

For purposes of our business relationships with our clients, all information acquired is only disclosed under the following conditions:

Employees of the Agency

Employees that need such information to provide or complete a service for which the client has engaged the agency.  All of our employees are subject to the agency’s privacy policy.

Service Providers

As with any business, we have service firms which we may need to provide information that the regulations consider nonpublic personal information.  An example might be computer consultants that must have access to certain client records so as to be able to increase the efficiency of our computer processing systems.  We have always insisted that any such information that needed to be disclosed for a business purpose be considered confidential and not used for any purpose other than the specific business need.  That well-understood policy of confidentiality will be reinforced by a contractual agreement between such service providers to the firm referencing the FTC regulations.

Other than as stated above, we do not disclose nonpublic personal information, or any other information, to any outside party except as expressly authorized by the client.   An example would be other professionals that are assisting the agency in carrying out a client engagement, such as an adoption attorney or cooperating agency.  In such a case, we would require the client’s approval for such a disclosure.

Security Arrangements

We maintain physical and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard our clients’ nonpublic personal information, or any other information, so as to ensure our clients that their privacy is a major part of the agency’s commitment to provide the finest service possible.

Opt-Out Provisions

The Federal Trade Commission regulations provide that this notice must include a provision to you to request that the agency not release any of your nonpublic personal information.  While such a request would preclude the use of many of our on-line tools and services, you have the right to opt out.

If you have any questions, please contact Desiree Huffnagle.
